How dogs can affect your mental and physical health

When you do decide to get a dog there are studies that show that having a dog can benefit your mental and physical health. Studies have shown that people who have dogs tend to suffer less from depression than those who don’t have pets. People who also have dogs have lower blood pressure when they are in stressful situations. There is even a study that shows people with borderline hypertension their blood pressure has declined. With serotonin and dopamine levels can elevate to reduce stress and make the dog owner feel more calm and relaxed. Dog owners have a lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels. Also, people who have suffered from a heart attack, who do decide to get a dog can live a lot longer. These are all factors of having a dog that can lead to having a healthy lifestyle. If you are thinking about getting a dog I highly suggest you should to improve your physical and mental health.
